Set against the vast West Texas prairie, The Old Stables is a private sculpture and design compound in Marfa, Texas.
What began as a working horse-stable property has evolved into a place for artistic exploration, fabrication, and the display of original sculpture.
Across four acres, original sculptures inhabit the buildings and surrounding landscape. Created and assembled over time by the property’s resident artist, the collection reflects an ongoing exploration of form, material, and the relationship between art and the open West Texas horizon.
The Old Stables is not a museum, gallery, or commercial attraction. It is a living and working creative environment, continually evolving with the work created here.
